Dr Howard Gluckman recently received a PhD from the University of Szeged under the supervision of Professor Katalin Nagy. His PhD titled “Partial Extraction Therapy: Past, Present and Future” deals with the critical issue of bone and soft tissue collapse following extraction. Maintaining part of the root to prevent this from happening is an essential new development in implant dentistry. He is part of an international research team that is slowly building a large body of evidence to support their research.
Dr Gluckman has published 7 articles on the topic, 6 of which were in Q1 (highest rated) Journals and he was the first author on 6 of the articles published. He achieved his degree with Suma Cum Laude by scoring the highest points possible for his PhD (96%).
